Busy Beach
I felt lonely when- I was sitting on a packed beach
I sit alone at the edge of the beach, watching my friends splash around in the water. They’re laughing, diving, calling out to each other, having the best time. I wish I could join them, but I can’t swim, so I just sit here in the sand, hugging my knees.
The beach is packed—people everywhere, kids playing, couples walking, music blasting from a speaker nearby. But even with all these people around, I feel like I’m in my own little bubble, apart from everyone.
I keep smiling, waving if they look my way, pretending I’m okay just sitting here. But inside, I feel like I’m the only person on this crowded beach who’s alone.
